Museum of Glass, Tacoma
Move over Chihuly, Marvin has arrived in Tacoma, WA. Alongside 4 other works, Marvin’s classic Fratelli-Toso 1976-1981 sculpture is now part of the incredible collection in Tacoma. Along side these you can also see his embossed print, Washu China 1999.

Palmer Museum of Art
The Palmer Museum at Penn State has a great collection of later works by Marvin. Now, they have added an early flocked piece, Glass Form 1968. At a time when colored rod was in short supply, Marvin added color and texture using rayon flocking.

RISD Museum
The Rhode Island School of Design Museum has acquired 3 glass sculptures along side 3 prints/drawings. A truly wonderful way to appreciate Marvin’s work in 3D and 2D. Dieulefit Group Wall Piece 1990-96 #1 was created at the studio of Claude Morin, France.

Museum of Fine Arts, Houston
It has taken some time but the long wait is over. The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, has added Stockholm 1989-91 #10 to their growing collection. Marvin had been invited to Stockholm by Paula Barton and he produced a vibrant, spirited series.

Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art
Head to Bentonville, Arkansas, where you can now catch a glimpse 6 of Marvin’s works spanning 5 decades of artistry. It’s a beautiful collection and showcases the range of his skills and creativity.

Asheville Art Museum
Shortly before the floods in Asheville, 5 of Marvin’s sculptures were acquired by the Asheville Art Museum. Thankfully, the artworks and museum made it through without long term damage. We hope the arts community continues to press on to greater heights.

The Art Institute of Chicago
The Art Institute has acquired 5 sculptures by Marvin spanning 5 decades of work. They were created from as far as Australia and Germany to his home in Berkeley, CA. We are proud to have some of his work coming home to his Illinois roots.

Fort Wayne Museum of Art
We are happy to announce the acquisition of 2 sculptures by Marvin, Tacoma Series 2007 #27 and Fragments Jugoslaja Stakla 1980. The works are simple and epitomize beauty that can be achieved with glass and Marvin’s classic wooden forms.

Crocker Art Museum
The Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, CA, has acquired 8 more glass sculptures and 3 watercolors, bringing their total in the collection to 13 sculptures and 3 watercolor drawings. Seen below is GA Series 1994 #2, created at the 1994 Czech Glass Symposium.

Mingei International Museum
The Mingei International Museum, San Diego, CA, has acquired 5 glass sculptures, spanning from 1968 through 1996. These examples of Marvin’s work were created locally and as far away as Bulgaria.

Palm Springs Art Museum
The Palms Springs Art Museum in California, has added Marvin’s
Chico Spring Series 1988 #12 to its fine collection of glass sculpture. Blown with help from Eric Bladholm. -
Chazen Museum of Art
Several of Marvin’s earliest works have returned home to the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with the acquisition of a large Untitled ceramic sculpture and an early Glass Form experiment.
