Berkeley: 1968

The first public broadcast of Marvin working at the University of California, Berkeley, was produced by KQED tv in 1968. Entitled, “Marvin Lipofsky Blows Glass,” Marvin talks about some of the very earliest ideas in establishing the use of glass as an art medium. 15 min.

 

France: 1992

Marvin Lipofsky was invited to work at the International Center for Glass, Meisenthal, France, in 1992 by his friend and glass artist, Jean-Pierre Umbdenstock. This video shows him in process, working with his team: Killi Schurmann, Dominique Mercade, Giampoaolo Amoruso, Jean-Pierre Umbdenstock. 15 min.

 

Retrospective: 2003

For the 2003 Retrospective at the Oakland Museum of California, the video, “Marvin Lipofsky: A Journey in Glass,” was created. Directed by Paul McKenna. 18 min

 

Corning, NY: 2009

Marvin Lipofsky was honored by the Glass Art Society, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009. We are including here a video of his lecture. It is long!
